In this episode, we are reviewing The Gentle Tarot by Mari in the Sky.
My thoughts:
the artwork is STUNNING. the color story, the animals, the plants - beautiful and really draw me in
the card quality is really fucking cool! i’ve never handled cards this texture and weight before. they almost feel like plastic?? in that they wont easily rip or crumble. they are very sturdy, yet flexible enough for a goooood shuffle. The box says that these cards are printed on FSC Paper, which I did a little research on and found the following:
“When the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certifies that a paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber, that paper earns the FSC label. FSC certification is an important standard for our industry. It indicates that the forests from which we harvest wood fiber are managed in a way that reduces their environmental impact.

Avoid the use of highly hazardous chemicals

Protect the rights of indigenous people and local communities
Prevent the loss of natural forest cover

Today, more than 168 million acres of forestland have been FSC certified in the United States and Canada, including many of the forests from which we source wood fiber. In fact, we were an early adopter of the FSC standard and the first forest products company in North America to offer FSC-certified copy paper.”

I adore the 8 extra cards with the affirmations for each card, the tarot spreads, the opening and closing intention card, and the QR code to access the pdf guidebook
This is definitely a deck that I will be using in future readings!
