On the Hierophant 🗝
In the tarot, the Hierophant is the keeper of the keys to occult wisdom.
The Hierophant is grants us access to the practices, structures, and technique that we are unable to discover on our own - that can only be learned through oral tradition, through listening to elders, teachers and mentors.
A Hierophant moving out of alignment is overly rigid, desires to be the center of worship, is a cult leader.
A Hierophant in alignment is charismatic, devout to their disciplines, and attentive to the unique needs of their students. A Hierophant in alignment is also aware of when their students are being called to step into their own authority as teachers and leaders.
As Hierophant of sorts, I am not interested in being the center of anyone's spiritual practice. I am not a guru. I am not interested in pedestals or worship.
I am interested in communal learning, in developing spiritual spaces that are free from hierarchies. I am interested in developing and uplifting spiritual practitioners. Encouraging them to step into their Knowing, into their unique strengths and expertise. If you've ever sat in a class or workshop with me, you know that as much as I am a teacher and guide, so are your contemporaries, so are you.
One way I've embraced this idea is by creating Community Classes - opportunities for spiritists within the Moonshadows community to create and share their ideas with their peers.
For those of us who are called to share our gifts of the spirit with other people, the idea of getting in front of a group can be a lil intimidating!! Moonshadows fosters an environment that encourages budding practitioners to share their unique wisdom, technique, and practices in front others.
This quarter, Moonshadows members Abby Nocon and Robin Zamora are stepping into the spotlight to share their gifts with our community.
This month, Abby will be leading us in Tu B'Shvat, the Jewish "New Year for the Trees". Open to all members of Jewish ancestry - be it recent or distant - who wish to study/ practice the magic & mysticism of Jewish ancestral ritual in a space facilitated by and centered around queer, anti-Zionist Jewish seeking.
In February, in keeping with our Lovers theme, Robin is hosting Creating Self Love: Hypnosis for Reprogramming Limiting Beliefs. Robin is an IACT certified hypnotherapist and the founder of Mind Edit Hypnosis who will teach members powerful self-hypnosis techniques for embracing who we are.
These brilliant classes are available to Moonshadows Members only - and for a limited time our doors are open and welcoming you to be a part of our sacred space.

With 50+ original workshops, classes, and guided trance journeys, a growing grimoire of baños, rituals, tarot resources, and blog posts, monthly live events, and a lively discord community, there is something for everyone here - whether you are new to exploring ethical spirituality, a seasoned spiritist, or an acolyte who desires to share their spiritual gifts with the public.
