Do not underestimate the importance, power, and potency of your limpia rites.

The New Moon is a time when many of turn to the dark sky to plant the seeds of our intentions for the cycle, months, or even years ahead.

A critical part of this practice, in my opinion, is taking the time to spiritual cleanse, clear, and purify ourselves before we take up the pen to write our petitions.

With a clear heart and mind, we are better able to say what it is we really want. To have the courage to take the necessary steps to accomplish that which we dream about.

Limpias not only assist in cultivating our focus during intention setting, they also help wipe away the threads of doubt and fear that may be sewn into the fibers of our being. 

They help us to release any spiritual attachments or entities that may be holding us back from believing in our destinies. 

Clearing these things away helps us to see that we are worthy of our desires. That the better world we dream of is not only possible, but certain. To trust in the truths our Good Spirits offer to us.

Take some time, on this New Moon, before you light your dressed candles, to cleanse your altar. To do your spiritual baths or showers. To dress yourself ceremonially in white.

Once your limpia rites are complete, illuminate your shrines with conviction. Speak out your prayers and petitions with certainty.
