What is Spirit Salon?

While historically, Misa Espirituales are hosted in person, Spirit Salon was born from a need to provide this type of community support in a modern world, online, for practitioners across the globe.

Spirit Salon is a monthly online Misa Espiritual, facilitated by Kaitlyn and their guía principal (main guide), Felicita Buenavide.

Attendees have the opportunity to receive channeled wisdom, guidance, clarity, and spiritual remediation from the Good Spirits present in the circle. All Lovers tier members are welcome to attend! Jezmina Von Thiele (they/she) is a writer, educator, performer, podcaster, and fortune teller of mixed Sinti Romani heritage. Raised in their family’s divinatory tradition, they read tarot, palms, and tea leaves, and teach workshops on spiritual practice and creative arts. Jezmina is co-author of Secrets of Romani Fortune Telling (Weiser Books, 2024) and co-host of the Romanistan podcast with Paulina Stevens. Their work appears in Prairie Schooner, The Kenyon Review Online, and Narrative Magazine. Jezmina also has a monthly tarot forecast in Bustle. Join myself & Adriana (The Death Alchemist) next Wednesday, February 18 @ 12pm pst for a special event centered around tending to and caring for our grief.

We will begin with a gentle trance journey - a soothing salve for the grief you are carrying. Kaitlyn will lead the group into the trance state, where journeyers will meet directly with their healing Spirit Guides. With your consent, your healing guides will help you identify where you are holding grief in your body, offer their unique care modalities to this grief, and invite you to root into joy, love, and hope. You will return from this journey feeling affirmed, encouraged, and loved as you are.

Please note that this is not a journey that will ask you to relive painful experiences or unearth difficult memories. This, like the 6 of Cups, is about your Good Spirits pouring into you because they care for you.

Following the restorative trance journey led by Kaitlyn, we will take what we saw, felt, smelled, tasted, sensed, and deepen into that experience by creating art with these sensorial energies as inspiration, guided by Adriana.

Please be sure to bring tools of your preferred medium (writing, painting, watercoloring, collaging, flower arranging, playing music or creating a playlist, storyboarding a scene that you can film or photograph later)

Those who feel comfortable are open to share what the trance was like with the group, as well as any messages that they received, however, there will be no pressure to do so. Adriana will also be pulling a few cards to help us get into our creative heart space, along with a closing message honoring our time together.

This event is free to attend, however we are collecting donations for CHIRLA, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights Los Angeles chapter. CHIRLA has been doing important work to support immigrants in our Los Angeles community, even more so now during this administration.
