When the Death Card Knocks

Today brings us messages from the Death Card.

The Death card in the tarot often signals that a rebirth is upon us. That we have been, like the seed, rooting deep into the dark soil, and now are called to push up through the surface and sprout.

The shift from the underworld to the surface, from who we were to who we are becoming, is one that requires action on our part. This transformation is not thrust upon us.

When Death comes knocking, we must be willing to answer the door and step through the threshold.

And what happens if we don't? What happens if we ignore the call, if we bury our heads back into the dirt?

Death moves on, and we remain cradled in the soil.

Death does not forget us, though. We cannot hide from her forever. One day, she will knock again, asking “are you ready now, dear? are you ready to be who you are desiring to become?”
