IT'S THE “WHY” I LOVE THE MOST
Understanding the history and theory behind the Things We Do is a non-negotiable when it comes to working with me.
In every class, workshop, and group mentorship that I facilitate, we begin with the people, the cultures, the circumstances that created whatever it is we are learning about within that container.
Naturally, this is true for my new offering, Oracle Activation, where we will begin our journey by investigating the history of the Oracle, unpacking the etymology of the words we use in our work, thoroughly examine the spiritual technology we will be working with, and dive into the ethics and implications of our practices.
Perhaps it comes from the Kardecian roots of Espiritismo… In his writing, Kardec aims to substantiate his discoveries before sharing the discoveries themselves with readers.
For me, personally, I need to know the who/what/when/where/why of how something came to be before I feel comfortable attempting said thing. Tbh, I’m very much a “it came with instructions, so let’s read them before we start playing this board game or building this Ikea furniture” type of human ((much to the dismay of my multiple-Aries placement partner lol)).
As a teacher, I feel I’m doing my students a disservice by jumping straight into practicum without providing validation through historical, literary, and scientific evidence. Because, how can we claim to understand and practice a thing, if we don’t actually know where that thing comes from???
When it comes to occult practices, I think it’s extra important to do this work. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I’m not interested in being Another New Age Bullshitter. The tools and technology I share with you didn’t come to me because I’m The Divine’s Specialest Medium™️.
It comes to me because I am both a dedicated medium, and a dedicated student. I listen to and learn from my teachers and elders. I read and analyze and apply and experiment and review and experiment again.
The curriculum I have put together for Oracle Activation will take mediums' current skill sets, and expand them to advanced-level trance mediumship - not just because I’m talking out of the side of my mouth.
Rather, because we will start by rooting into the foundations of this work. And from there, follow a framework that is supported by the evidence provided by all those who came before us.
If there is one thing I can pride myself on, it’s being the spiritual facilitator who isn’t afraid when my students ask “why?”. It’s the WHY of it all that I’m most excited about, tbh!! ¯\(ツ)/¯
